Method (preview)

   Cream together butter and sugar.

   Add flour, vanilla, cashews, cardamom powder and salt; mix well to form dough.

   Let stand for 30 minutes, covered, at room temperature.

   Preheat oven to 325F. Grease cookie sheet with nonstick spray.

   Using your hands, make small balls, about 1 inch in diameter, and place on sheet.

   Bake for 22 to 25 minutes. Remove from oven; dust tops with sugar.

   Cool on racks. Makes 25 to 30 cookies.
