   Mix melted butter, cheese, and garlic. Slice potatoes length-wise.

   Paint or smear butter/cheese mixture onto the cut sides of potatoes.

   Place potatoes cut side down onto baking sheet.

   Brush melted butter onto skin sides of potatoes, then sprinkle with grated pepper and coarse salt.
