Hermit 01

   Cream butter and sugar, add egg yolks, vanilla, and lemon juice.

   Sift flour, baking powder, and cinnamon together.

   Flour the dates and nuts with 1/2 of the flour mixture.

   Fold into the sugar mixture, then fold in beaten egg whites.

   Bake for 2 1/2 hours at 250 degrees.
