Nectar Soda

Make Nectar Soda at home with Sugar, Water, Sweetened Condensed Milk, Vanilla Extract, and Granulated Sugar. Scale it up or down for the number of people at the table.

Method (preview)

   Pour and inch of nectar syrup into a tall glass.

   Add a scoop of vanilla ice cream and club soda.

   Stir to mix.

   Serve with a scoop of ice cream on top or whipped cream and a cherry.

   Over low heat dissolve sugar and water. Bring to a boil. Cool.

   Add the condensed milk, vanilla extract, almond essence and red coloring. Stir well. Store in refrigerator. Makes about 1-1/2 quart.

   Bring sugar and water to a boil over medium heat. Let mixture cook about 8 to 10 seconds. Cool. Add vanilla, almond and coloring.
