Method (preview)

   In large pot, combine plums, juice, red wine vinegar, onions, garlic and lemon juice.

   Cook over medium-high heat until plums soften and mixture boils.

   Puree mixture in food processor and return to pot.

   Add remaining ingredients and bring to a full boil. Simmer 1 - 1 1/2 hours on med-low until thickened, stirring frequently.
