   Mix together flour, sugar, baking powder, melted shortening and salt In a saucepan, measure brown sugar, water, flour and Maple extract Mix together really well Bring these ingredients to a boil, cook slowly 2 min. Heat oven to 350F Pour the sauce into a Pyrex 9X13" add the flour mixture by the spoonful into the syrup and bake until nice and golden.

   Serve hot by big spoonfuls and dribble a little sauce over it.
