   Sift and combine dry ingredinets. Cream shortening and sugar well. add eggs one at a time and blend well. Add prunes and mix well.

   Alternately add flour mixture with combined sour cream and prune juice to creamed mixturee.Dont over beat. Fold in nuts if using.
