   Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

   Grease baking sheets.

   Set aside.

   In separate bowl, cream butter at medium speed until light.

   Gradually beat in sugar, then egg and pumpkin, beating until smooth.

   Add the flour mixture, and beat at low speed or by hand, until well mixed.

   Stir in nuts and vanilla.

   Drop by rounded teaspoon about 2 inches apart onto the baking sheets.

   Bake for 12 to 15 min, or until lightly browned.
