   In a medium bowl, mix potatoes, spinach, salt, pepper, garlic powder, grated cheese, American cheese, and bread crumbs.

   In a medium frying pan, heat 1 cup oil over medium heat. With spinach mixture, ake a patty a little smaller than a hamburger.

   Dip in egg and then bread in bread crumbs.

   Fry patty on each side until golden brown.

   Remove to a plate with a paper towel, let cool slightly.
