Sugar 08

Method (preview)

   Cream the butter and the sugar together until light.

   Add the eggs and the vanilla.

   Beat until fluffy, and add the milk.

   Beat the flour mixture until well mixed.

   Preheat the oven to 375 degrees and butter cookie sheets.

   Divide dough into manageable amounts for rolling out.

   Dust rolling surface, rolling pin, and dough with icing sugar.

   Roll dough out to 1/8-inch thickness (or thicker if preferred), cut out with cutter, place on cookie sheet, and bake for about 8 minutes until faintly browned around the edges.

   Watch carefully for overbrowning.
