Butter Spritz Cookies - about 4 dozen

Butter Spritz Cookies - about 4 dozen comes together with Butter, Sugar, Egg, Almond Or Vanilla Extract, and All Purpose Flour. Scale it up or down for the number of people at the table.

Method (preview)

   Cream the butter.

   Add the sugar and beat until fluffy.

   Beat in the egg and the flavouring.

   Blend in the flour.

   Divide dough into thirds.

   Add a few drops of the optional red food colouring to 1/3 of the dough, green to 1/3 and leave 1/3 plain.

   Fill a cookie press with each colour one at a time, or fill with all the colours for rainbow cookies.

   Press into desired shapes onto ungreased baking shets (airbake are best).

   Bake at 350F for 8 to 10 minutes, remove from oven before they get brown on the bottom.
