Buttermilk

Ingredients

• 1.0 cup Buttermilk
• 1.0 pinch Salt
• 3.0 cup Skim Milk

   A home economist at the Florida extension service gave me these instructions and they have worked well for the past four years...I am still working off my first culture.

   Start with cultured buttermilk purchased at your supermarket. Fill any size jar about 1/4 with the buttermilk, add a pinch of salt, add skim milk to fill the jar. Stir well...I use a small wire whip.
