Butterscotch Cake

Butterscotch Cake is a home-style recipe made with Cake Flour, Baking Powder, Salt, Medium Eggs, Brown Sugar Packed, and Butter Or Margarine. Serves 10.

Ingredientes

• 2.0 cup Cake Flour
• 3.0 tsp Baking Powder
• 0.5 tsp Salt
• 2.0 Medium Eggs

Preparo (prévia)

   Sift together flour, baking powder and salt. Add brown sugar, butter (or margarine), vanilla and 2/3 cup milk. Beat for 2 minutes at medium speed and then add rest of milk and the eggs. Beat 2 minutes more. Pour into two 8-inch greased and floured cake pans. Bake in preheated 350 degree oven for 25-30 minutes. Frost with butter frosting. Frosting: Brown butter over low heat, watching carefully. Add rest of ingredients and stir until cool and of consistency to spread. This was a second place winner in the professional category of cake layers at the Del Mar fair, 1993.
