Chocolate Angel Food Dessert

A home-style Chocolate Angel Food Dessert made with Semisweet Chocolate Chips, Milk, Egg Yolk, Sugar, and Whipping Cream. Serves 16. Keep it handy for the next time you cook it.

Method (preview)

   In the top of a double boiler over boiling water, melt chocolate chips.

   Combine milk, egg yolks and sugar; gradually add to chocolate, stirring constantly.

   Cook for 2-3 min. Remove from the heat; cool to room temperature.

   Fold in cream.

   Tear cake into bite-size pieces; place half in a greased 13x9x2" baking pan.

   Top with half of the chocolate mixture.

   Repeat layers.

   Cover and refrigerate overnight.
