- 1.0 tsp Baking Soda
- 1.0 cup Hot Water
- 0.75 cup Sugar

Pour Hot water over dates and sod and let stand for 1/2 hour.

Add remaining ingredients and mix well. If you like add 1 cup black walnuts.
Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes or till done in loaf pans.
