Cream sugar and butter, add eggs. Beat well, add flour and milk. Roll nuts dates and candy in part of flour, add to batter along with coconut.

bake 2 1/2 hours at 275 degrees. Leave in pan to cool.
Mix icing ingredients and coat cake.
