  1. 1

Put pork spare ribs in a large saucepan with water to cover.

  2. 2

Bring to a boil; reduce heat; cover and simmer for 20 minutes.

  3. 3

This helps remove any excess fat.

  4. 4

Combine the barbecue sauce, honey, vinegar, chilli sauce, five spice powder, dry sherry, soy sauce, crushed garlic and grated finger. Mix well.

  5. 5

Put spare ribs into a baking dish and pour the sauce over them; let stand for 1 hour, turning occasionally.

  6. 6

Bake in a moderately hot oven (190C/375F) for one hour or until the pork is tender. Baste frequently.

  7. 7

Steep the tea bags in the boiling water.

  8. 8

Dissolve the sugar in the hot water. Cool the brewed tea.

  9. 9

Add the frozen juices, bourbon, water and the steeped tea.

  10. 10

Freeze for two days before serving.

  11. 11

Combine the water, rum, lemonade, orange juice concentrate, grenadine and cherry juice in a freezer container and mix well.
