Method (preview)

   Beat eggs.

   Add sugar and oil and mix well.

   Add flour and baking soda and beat well to blend.

   Fold in apples and vanilla.

   Spoon into greased 9 x 13-inch baking pan.

   To prepare topping combine all ingredients in saucepan and bring to a full, rolling boil.

   Boil for 2 1/2 minutes.

   Spread over slightly cooled cake.
