   The small pointed green leaves of the savory plant add pleasantly sharp flavor to soups, breads, eggs, fish dishes, and meats. Winter savory is similar in flavor, appearance, and use to summer savory, but is harvested later in the season. The two are interchangeable in recipes. Savory is available fresh and dried.
