Oatmeal Cake and Frosting

A home-style Oatmeal Cake and Frosting made with Oatmeal Ts Salt, Eggs C Sugar, Boiling Water C Flour, Cinnamon Tb Butter, and Shortening C Cream Or Evaporated Milk. Serves 1. Scale it up or down for the number of people at the table.

Ingredients

• 1 cup
• 2 pc
• 1 1/2 cup
• 1 1/2 tsp
• 1/2 cup
• 1 tsp
• 1 3/4 cup

Method (preview)

1. 1

   Mix 3/4 c brown sugar, butter, cream and coconut. Spread over cake after baking and broil until bubbling.

   Mix and set aside oatmeal and boiling water.

   Mix remaining ingredients and add to oatmeal.

   Bake in 9" X 13" pan at 350 degrees for 30 to 35 minutes.
