Tomato Butter--(Sherilyn's)

Tomato Butter--(Sherilyn's) is built on White Sugar, Vinegar I Use Malt Vinegar, Cinnamon Ground, and Salt. Save it, add the ingredients to your shopping list, and cook it tonight.

Ingredients

• 6 cup
• 2 cup
• 1 tsp
• 1 tsp

Method (preview)

1. 1

   Peel tomatoes, chopping a large pieces.

   Cover with vinegar and let stand 8 hou rs or overnight.

   Drain well and add all other ingredients.

   Cook slowly (I use a crockpot) until very thick (approximately 4 hours if using a large pot or lo nger in a crockpot.

   If not thickening sufficiently, add Certo and continue st irring and cooking an additional 10 minutes or so.
