• 0.5 cup Shortening
• 1.5 cup Sugar
• 0.5 cup Egg Beaters Egg Substitute
• 2.0 tbsp Cocoa

Method (preview)

   Mix together shortening, eggs, & sugar. Make a paste of the cocoa and part of food coloring. Add this and rest of coloring to creamed mixture.

   Sift flour and salt alternately into batter with buttermilk. Add vinegar. Stir in soda and vanilla.
