Ingredients

• 1.75 cup Sugar
• 0.5 cup Butter
• 1.0 cup Flour

Method (preview)

   Prepare two 9 inch cake pans by flouring and greasing. Line each with wax paper.

   Cram softened butter with 1/2 cup sugar, add 4 egg yolks, one at a time, beating after each addition. Add flour which has been sifted with 2 tablespoons baking powder alternating with 5 tablespoons milk, add 1/2 teaspoon almond extract. Pour into two cake pans.
